๐Ÿ’ผDo you want to become a formula one racer, weightlifter, trombonist, explorer, tattoo artist, mountaineer, motocross racer, drummer, ballerina, spy, pirate, scientist, rapper, activist, writer, swimmer, orchestra conductor, or whatever else... you will find yourself here.

This magical book is filled with stories about inspiring women who changed the world and how they accomplished their goals. Each page contains the tale of a remarkable lady along with a portrait of them, each drawn in a different style. This book is a great read for children and adults alike.

๐Ÿ“˜I don't actually use this book as a bedtime story but it's so much fun to read! In this very book, I learned more about the lives of people that I had already known about like Michelle Obama, Lakshmi Bai, Frida Kahlo, Virginia Woolf, etc., and found out how much I adore spies!

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban๐Ÿ–‹J.K. Rowling

'"I don't go looking for trouble," said Harry, nettled." Trouble usually finds me."'

๐Ÿ“–Harry's summer once again can be classified as 'out of the ordinary'.

He had blown up his Aunt, left his so-called home, boarded a magical and violently purple triple-decker bus, met the Minister of Magic, and got to stay at the wonderful Diagon Alley. But now there is a mass murderer waiting to kill Harry and at the  Hogwarts castle, he is told by his Divination teacher that he has a death omen called the Grim and dementors are everywhere and Harry is reminded of melancholic memories from the past that he does not wish to recall.

๐Ÿ’ญ๐Ÿ“˜I am trying very assiduously not to give you guys too many spoilers...but I can tell you firsthand that it is very hard not to! This book like the others has many questions from the very beginning - like how in the world Hermione can attend 3 classes all scheduled for the same time?! - which leaves you reading (and extremely excited!) until the very end, which makes me have to control myself super hard from telling you what exactly is going to happen!

And if you are new to the Harry Potter series, check out the reviews of the past 2 books here!

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets ๐Ÿ–‹J.K. Rowling

'-you would have done well in Slytherin.'

๐Ÿ“– Harry's summer couldn't have gone worse - a horrible birthday and now a house-elf with bat-like ears and eyes the size of tennis balls๐ŸŽพ , had come with ill-tidings. Soon at Hogwarts ๐Ÿฐ however Harry starts to hear voices from within the walls...people start getting attacked, turning to stone...and everyone thinks that Harry who is a Parseltongue ๐Ÿ, is the cause.

๐Ÿ“šA multitude of people have loved this book/movie the most out of the complete series and I understand why. This book, which is the second one, gives you a considerable apprehension on what is yet to come in Harry's life. This book is 100% splendiferous!
At the end of the book there is an afterward about the life of Joanne Rowling (that is J.K. Rowling). I found it really engrossing to see into what she studied, what she did during her childhood and how Harry Potter came into being!

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone ๐Ÿ–‹ J.K. Rowling

“Harry—yer a wizard.”

๐Ÿ“–Harry, an eleven-year-old boy is struck by surprise when mysterious letters start to arrive for him. Not soon after he is bound to learn about his hidden past, about his parents, Voldemort, his scar, and all about his new home: Hogwarts.

๐Ÿ’ญThis book literally changed my life. For one, I am a diehard fan of the series and it got my class interacting about it till the very last day of 6th grade. Thanks to my grandfather for buying the series for my Bday! After reading the series I watched all the HP movies (and 'Magic Beyond Words' J.K. Rowling's biography). I suggest that if you feel like reading for at least 5 or 6 months is too much, watching the movies can give you more or less the same feel.( I have always thought that the movies of any book is horrid but the Harry Potter movies was way different than anything else I've watched.)

If you want to read or want to buy this book for someone, 11 years old is perfect as our hero Harry is the same in the first book and it will get them writing to Hogwarts. Though it is a bit frightening with a lot of deaths and crazy situations the golden trio ( Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger) get into, you will get over it in a flash.

๐Ÿง™๐Ÿป A new magical world awaits with mirrors that show your deepest desires, Quidditch, three headed dogs and friends that can't be compared. Get Ready for the Adventure of a Lifetime.

FYI there are 7 books in the series:
  1. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone
  2. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
  3. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
  4. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
  5. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
  6. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
  7. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Their reviews will be coming soon.

George's Marvellous Medicine ๐Ÿ–‹ Roald Dahl

'He may have been only eight years old but he was a brave little boy. He was ready to take this old woman on.'

Have you ever heard a medicine ๐Ÿ’Šmade with animal pills, liquid paraffin, plaster, lipstick๐Ÿ’„ ,chilly sauce ๐ŸŒถ and more??...you and I may not have ...but George certainly did.
⚠️WARNING: Please don't try to do so.

๐Ÿ“– When George was left alone with his grandmother one day, all was presumed to go well. But his devilish grandmother wasn't like a normal one who would bake cookies ๐Ÿช and tell stories, oh no .... she was a witch ๐Ÿง™‍♀️(and a nasty one indeed)! Still, George had no plans to chicken out, for he had a brilliant idea, a plan, a scheme that would either have his grandma miraculously cured from her horrid ways or blown off the top of her head๐Ÿคฏ! He would make her a medicine, a magic medicine๐Ÿงช, one that no doctor in the world has ever made before.

๐Ÿ–Œ๐ŸŽจIllustrations of this book done by Quentin Blake accompanied by Roald Dahl's remarkable writing style makes this book unique. For a perfectionist the illustrations may not be an ideal choice however I enjoyed the way it was depicted quite a lot. According to me most of Roald Dahl's books are extremely risible and at moments quite absurd and George's Marvellous Medicine was no exception. Try enjoying this short novella for it will surely be WHOOPSEY-SPLUNKERS as he said.

Front Desk ๐Ÿ–‹Kelly Yang

realistic
๐Ÿ“–Mia Tang and her family are immigrants from China who have come to America with big dreams- living in a house with a dog ๐Ÿถ, eating a hamburger ๐Ÿ”... But experiencing the American life of an immigrant, she realised that the only thing she achieved from her wishlist was eating a burger until her face was all red.

Mr.Yao, their boss at The Calvista motel ๐Ÿจwas a cruel man who not only refused to give the offered salary๐Ÿ’ฐ but also charged them for every mishap. Finally when Mr.Yao decides to sell The Calvista, and its Mia who plans to save the motel and its inhabitants.

๐Ÿ‘‰This story is based on the real life of Kelly yang (author), who is also a Chinese immigrant who grew up in California. Its quite sad how unprotected their world is...someone could just barge in beat them up and take all their savings all of a sudden. Besides all the odds, Kelly yang (our author) grew up to be a great author of Front desk and its sequel which has released in 2020, Three keys.๐Ÿ—๐Ÿ—๐Ÿ—
๐Ÿ›I bought this book from amazon-front desk. I recommend this book for children of ages 11 and above. Please find time to devour this realistic novel.

Till the Clouds Roll By๐Ÿ–‹Ruskin Bond

'The sun came out and the clouds rolled by, and a rainbow lit up the sky.'
Remember, Looking for the Rainbow by Ruskin Bond? Well, the story continues through this book. Our author studied in a boarding school and since his father passed away he had to go to his mom's and step father's place during vacation.
I love to dwell in this book. It's a realistic novella....and  I'm re-reading it over and over.

๐Ÿ“–After boarding the train to Dehradun, Ruskin Bond met many people. Mohan, Mela Ram, Bibiji, and his three brothers - his real brother, half brother, and his half brother's other brother. He read whatever he could find to pass the time from Little Woman ( now a movie Netflix) to short stories by O. Henry and W.W Jacobs.

๐Ÿ”–On the day of his arrival, he waited for half an hour for someone to pick him up from the train station before finally decided to go to his Granny's place on a tonga, and if there was no one there he wouldn't have any money to pay for his ride!๐Ÿ”–

๐Ÿ”–Towards the end, while Ruskin Bond was traveling back to his school ...he remembered a record he used to play on his father's gramophone:

Though April showers
May come your way,
They bring the flowers
That bloom in May...
And when you see clouds
Upon the hills,
You soon will see crowds of daffodils...

Do you feel like reading this book after my review? If yes, please leave a comment.
