Remember, Looking for the Rainbow by Ruskin Bond? Well, the story continues through this book. Our author studied in a boarding school and since his father passed away he had to go to his mom's and step father's place during vacation.
I love to dwell in this book. It's a realistic novella....and I'm re-reading it over and over.
๐After boarding the train to Dehradun, Ruskin Bond met many people. Mohan, Mela Ram, Bibiji, and his three brothers - his real brother, half brother, and his half brother's other brother. He read whatever he could find to pass the time from Little Woman ( now a movie Netflix) to short stories by O. Henry and W.W Jacobs.
๐On the day of his arrival, he waited for half an hour for someone to pick him up from the train station before finally decided to go to his Granny's place on a tonga, and if there was no one there he wouldn't have any money to pay for his ride!๐
๐Towards the end, while Ruskin Bond was traveling back to his school ...he remembered a record he used to play on his father's gramophone:
Though April showers
May come your way,
They bring the flowers
That bloom in May...
And when you see clouds
Upon the hills,
You soon will see crowds of daffodils...
