The Canterville Ghost 🖋adapted by Susanna Davidson

A funny ghost story originally written by Oscar Wilde in 1887. This book I read is adapted by Susanna Davidson and its beautifully illustrated by Alan Marks.

📘The hardcover of the book has a picture of a ghost in a haunted castle background. The illustrations are  in hues of blue and throughout the book the water color paintings makes each page interesting.

📖The story goes likes this. The Otis family  bought the Canterville Castle. While everyone in the castle was afraid of the ghost, Mr.Otis gave him oil so that he won't disturb them at night, Washington wiped of all of the blood stain's Sir Simon left and the twins played silly pranks on him. 

🔖It's so nice that Sir Simon gets to have his funeral at the end and sleep in the soft brown earth since he hadn't slept  for five hundred years! OMG!

📚Similar book I have read is 'A Christmas Carol' by Charles Dickens.

I would recommend this book for children of ages 7 and above as it's a Usborne Young Reading book. Excellent choice for beginners as it has simple text.

LAND OF STORIES - THE WISHING SPELL by Chris Colfer

This book is perfect readable for children of 8yrs and up.( a bit scary though - beware of the giant wolf.)

📗This book is the first among the six book in the series of Land of stories.  Under the colourful front cover the book is paperbound with an emerald green colour and golden writing. It's so very beautiful!

📖The way our author, Chris Colfer describes Alex and Conner 's trip to the land of stories is truly incredible. It takes you from their horrible rented house to their Father's and Grandma's book which further takes them to a land made with their favourite fairy tales Cinderella, Little red riding hood, Jack and the beanstalk and many more.

🔖The saddest part of the book is  what happens to Alex and Conner's father. I don't want to say that...

🔖The best part of the book is so hard to tell as every single part is great in its own way. 

🔖After reading this book you will feel different about the evil queen ,snow white's stepmother.  
🔖 In the book, Goldilocks is a wanted refugee, Little red riding hood is the queen of her own kingdom and Cinderella has a baby....
