📖Most books are written from a human's point of view. But this classic novel is from the perspective of a black horse 🐎, first named 'Black Beauty'. The author tells us of all the hardships of an animal. I realized the disheartening life of an animal.
🐴Once it's sold and is taken away from it's family.... who knows if the owner will take care of it? Black Beauty was sold many times, did different jobs and had harsh and nice owners. Even I know people who ill treat their pets (don't want to mention their names). Just think about how hard it is for those animals.
🔖In the book, Black Beauty's friend (another fellow horse) told him that he knew a dog who gave birth to five little puppies🐶. One day a man came and took all the puppies away and they were brought back at night. The pups were bleeding as the man cut a little of their tails and had sharpened their soft ears.The mother spend the whole night licking the wound.
🎨The illustrations in black and white were not appealing at all. But still I could feel the struggle and pain of the animals.
🔖Black Beauty had many owners but he had a few who were very cruel. One made him work day and night without break. Another was very kind and would let him run around in the fields and regain his youth back.
🧒I think this book would be appealing for kids of ages 9+,pet owners and for all animal lovers. I'm thinking of leather bags... Its beautiful no more.
